Public Presentation Settings

Create and manage presentations for public displays and digital signage.

Opening Public Presentation Settings

  1. Click the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner
  2. Go to SettingsPublic Presentation Settings

Understanding the Screen

The main screen shows all your presentations in a list with:

NameThe presentation name
DescriptionA brief description
CodeThe URL code (e.g., 14 means /present/14)
EnableWhether it's active
IntervalTime between page changes
PagesHow many pages are included
ActionsEdit, Preview, and Delete buttons

Creating a New Presentation

Step 1: Click Add

Click the Add button at the top of the list.

Step 2: Fill in the Details

NameA descriptive name (e.g., "Lobby Display")
DescriptionOptional notes about this presentation
CodeA number for the URL (e.g., 14 creates /present/14)
IntervalTime in milliseconds (30000 = 30 seconds)
EnableCheck to make it active
Enable AnimationCheck for smooth page transitions

Step 3: Save

Click Save to create the presentation.

Adding Pages to a Presentation

Step 1: Expand the Presentation

Click on a presentation name in the list to see its pages.

Step 2: Add a Page

  1. Click Add Page
  2. Select from available content pages
  3. Set the Order number (lower numbers show first)
  4. Click Save

Step 3: Repeat

Add more pages as needed. Pages will rotate in order during the presentation.

Editing a Presentation

  1. Find the presentation in the list
  2. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click Save

Previewing a Presentation

  1. Find the presentation in the list
  2. Click the Preview button (eye icon)
  3. A new tab opens showing the live presentation

The preview URL is what you'll use on your display devices.

Removing a Page from a Presentation

  1. Expand the presentation to see its pages
  2. Find the page you want to remove
  3. Click the Remove button
  4. Confirm the removal
note

This only removes the page from the presentation. The content itself is not deleted.

Changing Page Order

Pages display in order from lowest to highest order number.

  1. Expand the presentation
  2. Click Edit on a page
  3. Change the Order number
  4. Click Save

Or drag and drop pages to reorder them.

Deleting a Presentation

  1. Find the presentation in the list
  2. Click the Delete button (trash icon)
  3. Confirm the deletion

This permanently deletes the presentation. The content pages are not affected.

Setting Up a Display Device

Once your presentation is ready:

  1. Preview the presentation to get the URL
  2. The URL format is: http://your-server:5000/present/{code}
  3. On your display device:
    • Open a web browser
    • Go to the presentation URL
    • Set as homepage or bookmark for easy access

Troubleshooting

The presentation isn't working

  • Check that Enable is turned on
  • Verify the Interval is not 0
  • Make sure pages are added and enabled

Pages aren't rotating

  • Check the Interval setting (value is in milliseconds)
  • Refresh the browser on the display device
  • Check browser console for errors (press F12)

Videos aren't playing

  • Go to Video Settings and check the video configuration
  • Test the video using the Preview button
  • Make sure the video source is enabled

The menu button doesn't work

Press Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to refresh and clear the cache.
